Online Scheduling

In an effort to make volunteering easier and more accessible we have uploaded The EV Schedules of Services to the web. This is not an interactive database, but rather a spreadsheet to be read.

Each month before the area meetings we will upload the most current information onto the web then notify you by e-mail. The date at the top of the schedule tells you when it was last updated.

Please come to the area meetings whenever possible!

The online schedule will never replace them. Scheduling is only a part of what we accomplish at area meetings- we have enrichment activities, staff and volunteers make important announcements, and we get to know our fellow EVs. Plus there's food!

  • South County meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month
  • North County meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month
  • There is no monthly meeting for weekend volunteers.

Tips

Here are some tips to help you navigate through the schedule:

When you're searching for services to sign-up for, first look for services that read "filled-no." These are the ones for which we still need volunteers.

If two services on a particular day have the same lead EV, it's a DOUBLE. It's always great if you can do both sessions!

When you have figured out what works for you, simply scroll down to the bottom of the page to e-mail your area coordinator or the Volunteer Manager. They will e-mail you a confirmation.

Please respond BEFORE THE AREA MEETINGS so that your area coordinator can reserve the appropriate spots for you.

If you want to print the schedule, we recommend the following:

  • Print on legal paper
  • Set orientation to horizontal
  • Reduce print size to 80%

You should be able to adjust these settings in the "Page Setup" or "Print" screens in your "File" menu.

The following are the program abbreviations:

  • Bay = Bayland Ecology
  • BN = All About Birds
  • ECI = Early California Indians: An Environmental Focus
  • EQ = Earthquake Geology & Preparedness
  • Foothill = Foothill Ecology
  • Marine = Marine Ecology
  • NN = Nature in Your Neighborhood
  • Water = Water Science & Conservation
